A microdose is a pharmaceutical therapy. People who suffer from depression & anxiety take minimal amounts of psychedelic drugs like LSD, MDMA and Psilocybin Mushrooms. Patients are then happy, stable and opening themselves to new experiences. Hovey Otis is approaching his music just like as a microdose; small doses of musical concepts stitched together to create interesting soundscapes and rhythms.

#Studio update! The more I organize and rearrange my workspace, the more enjoyable the #creativeprocess is for me. For years, I would work with gear that was half broken, frayed cables that were always tangled and spaces so small I could hardly breath. At this stage of my life, I think back to all of those moments of frustration and am so grateful for all the challenges I have overcome. After about 5 years living in #NYC I have made so many new musician friends, producers and songwriters that I feel empowered to seek out the new sound that is Hovey Otis.
